īack at the sanctuary, in the heat of the day, Jessica strips off in front of a fan and lies down for a rest in the bedroom. In a conversation with Moira (Carmel Young) while picking up supplies at the general store, we learn that Jessica is something of an artist, but also that she's alone, because her partner Ted is still away … and Sunny happens to overhear the women talking. In the village, Jessica complains to useless cop Frank (Don Barker) about her treatment, and cops a bill from the mechanic Victor (Adrian Shirley) for repairs to her vehicle. While Sunny tail gates Jessica, Ringo clambers over Jessica's Ford Falcon ute to join Sparks in the meat wagon at the front of the crazy convoy. Then when Jessica's on the way into a nearby village, the 'roo hunters, leader Sunny (Peter Ford) and followers, simple-minded Ringo (David Sandford) and Sparks (Garry Who), decide that she's fair game for a bit of fun.
Jessica lives and works in an animal sanctuary in a remote arid part of northern South Australia … Sweet but tough and feisty Jessica (Cassandra Delaney) is out riding with horse Frankie and dog Kyla, when she stumbles across a survivor of the hunt, a poor little injured joey, and takes the creature back to her home. Grim and sinister images of 'roo hunters stalking and spot-lighting their prey at night in a gigantic beast of a vehicle … (Note: this listing is about an Ozploitation film, and as well as many spoilers, it contains images of animal and sexual cruelty some might find offensive).
